2023 års James Beard Restaurant And Chef Award Semifinalister tillkännages

Prissäsongen är igång, även för matvärlden.

Onsdagen den 25 januari tillkännagav The James Beard Foundation sin långa lista med 2023 Restaurant and Chef Award semifinalister. Nomineringen i sig är en ära att kockar, mixologer och hotellproffs kan lägga till sina utmärkelser, innan listan vidare kureras till finalister (kallade nominerade) och vinnare tillkännages i vår. De nominerade kommer att tillkännages onsdagen den 29 mars och vinnarna kommer att firas vid James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards Ceremony måndagen den 5 juni 2023 på Lyric Opera of Chicago.

James Beard Awards, som anses vara bland landets mest prestigefyllda utmärkelser, uppmärksammar exceptionell talang inom kulinariska och livsmedelsmediabranschen.

"Det är spännande att se förtjänta talanger i hela branschen uppmärksammas för sina prestationer - och att de förändringar vi gjort i våra policyer och procedurer fortfarande bär frukt", säger Tanya Holland, ordförande för James Beard Awards Committee, James Beard Foundation Board av förvaltare.

Under de senaste åren har James Beard Foundation, som utfärdar utmärkelserna, också prioriterat ett engagemang för ras- och jämlikhet mellan könen, gemenskap, hållbarhet och en kultur där alla kan frodas, särskilt som att arbeta i den här branschen fortsätter att vara utmanande och olika frågor och pågående ojämlikheter kommer fram.

James Beard Foundations Restaurant and Chef Awards, som grundades 1990 och först delades ut 1991, firar excellens över en rad upplevelser, från fina restauranger till avslappnade pärlor. Restaurang- och kocksemifinalisterna 2023 uppmärksammas i 23 kategorier, inklusive det nya priset för enastående bageri.
